This Heavy Chef Inspire Session is a hybrid event, with speakers live on stage at Workshop17 to a physical audience, livestreamed to audience members around the world.


Jonathan Smit founded PayFast in 2007, programming the first version of the extraordinary platform himself. Since then, PayFast has evolved into the leading payments solution for small to medium-size businesses in Africa.


Zinhle Novazi (MC) is a Tax & Fiduciary Specialist at Investec, Admitted Attorney, specialising in Tax Law and Data Privacy. Zinhle has been a staple at Heavy Chef, assisting with content and quality assurance since 2020. Zinhle will be MCing the event and conducting the interviews. 


Marius Reitz is the GM of Luno, Africa’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, for Africa. Luno is one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges in the world. Founded in 2013, Luno grew to over 7 million customers by June 2021. Today the company has nearly 400 employees across London, South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nigeria and Singapore, with customers in 40 countries globally.
